Episode Six Batch From Scratch - The Evans Family

Catch-em batching this week from Bridgend with the Evans family. Dom and wife Kellie are full-time carers for their two sons, Xander, who has Cerebral palsy, and Lucas with Down syndrome. With next to no time for meal planning and everyone wanting to eat something different, they rely on quick and easy convenience food, hitting their health and pocket. As Dom is the main cook, he worries that he’s not providing enough healthy, nutritious meals within the family budget.

Watch the episode on Monday 24 March at 8pm on Channel 4 or stream on 4OD after the episode has aired.

Introducing the Evans family... ‘There’s a lot of pressure to make sure they’ve got nutrition, are happy and not spend too much money.’

In this episode, Joe and Suzanne help help Dom embrace the batch-cooking way by showing him some simple, one-cook meals that will keep everyone happy round the dinner table, plus save time and money.
